Group exercise classes come in all shapes and sizes, from a small group of two or three to larger groups led by several trainers. Coach Roach Group Exercise aims to introduce new and innovative classes all the time. Look out for ‘PT in the Park’ boot camp classes on Mondays and Thursdays as well as many other classes coming soon. Step Aerobic classes, Kettle-bell classes, Pilates and more. Fun
As a personal trainer I am serious about exercise and clients often want serious results. This doesn't mean that it can't be fun! Encourage friends to join your class or make friends with the people around you. Many long-term friendships have been made with people just getting to know each other in an exercise class. Knowing that there are others there around you to support you in your goals and know what you are going through will also help keep you coming back for more. What could be more fun than a brand new fit and healthy body?!
Instruction
When first starting an exercise program, many people are unsure of what they need to do. Throwing yourself into a program that you found in the latest fitness magazine may not be your best option. Although most have detailed instructions on how to do each exercise, they normally don't include a mirror and a trained eye to check out your form and technique. During each class I ensure that all participants understand each exercise and know how to move correctly so as not to cause injury or make an existing condition worse. I will also make suggestions on how you can adapt to a particular exercise if you are at a different level than the rest of the class.
Handouts can be made available outlining workouts that have been performed during the session so participants can put what they have learnt into practice at home or during individual exercise sessions.
